KAREN BAUMBACH | EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR | 2002
Karen has been with Ecu-Health Care since 2002. As the Executive Director, she oversees the day-to-day operations of the program. Karen is also directly involved with assisting individuals and families apply for and enroll in any and all available health care programs. Karen is a Certified Navigator with the Massachusetts Health Connector and a Certified SHINE counselor, specializing in benefits and assistance programs available to Medicare beneficiaries.
In the Fall of 2004, Karen completed the Berkshire Leadership Program sponsored by the Berkshire Chamber of Commerce. The Berkshire Leadership Program seeks, prepares, involves and sustains leaders from diverse backgrounds who are committed and competent to address community challenges and improve the quality of life in the Berkshires.
In the fall of 2006 Ms. Baumbach won a special community service award from the Northern Berkshire Community Coalition for her exemplary service to the commmunity. This was in recognition of her leadership in making North Berkshire the community wth the most residents enrolled, per capita, in Prescription Advantage, the state’s prescription drug plan for elders and the disabled.

HEALTH COVERAGE COUNSELOR/OUTREACH & EDUCATION SPECIALIST
Melissa joined the staff of Ecu-Health Care as Health Coverage Counselor/Outreach & Education Specialist in February 2019. Melissa is a Certified Navigator with the Massachusetts Health Connector and a Certified SHINE counselor. She was formerly a Program Assistant/Nutrition Assistant with Berkshire North WIC. Melissa comes to us with a background in medical coding and billing, financial counseling and holds a B.A. in Sociology.

Rebecca joined the staff at Ecu-Health Care in April 2024 after 30 plus years in the manufacturing field. Rebecca has always had a passion for helping others, making this role perfect for this next chapter in her life. Rebecca completed her training in May and is now a Certified Navigator with the Massachusetts Health Connector.

HEALTH COVERAGE COUNSELOR
Jessica Horn joined the staff at Ecu-Health Care as our receptionist and staff support in November of 2023. Jessica is a Certified Navigator with the Massachusetts Health Connector. Before coming to work at Ecu-Health Care, Jessica worked as a retail manager with several years of customer service experience. Jessica made the decision to change career paths and join the Ecu-Health Care team allowing her to work more closely with our community.
KIM MILLER | 2024
RECEPTIONIST
Kim joined the Ecu Health-Care staff as Receptionist this past April. Kim is
currently taking the Navigator training through the Massachusetts Health
Connector for her certification to further assist the staff. Prior to joining ECU
Health-Care, Kim worked as a Travel Agent for 15 years assisting clients with
corporate and leisure travel. Once her children started school, Kim was employed
as a substitute teacher at Hoosac Valley Elementary School for 12 years. After
many years of working with children, Kim decided to make a career change, and
learn something new that can really help make a difference with so many in our
community.
